TEA TREE OIL<\/h4>\n

Tea tree oil is widely used in skin skin care. This healing oil is considered effective in treating various skin trouble, such as acne, dandruff and skin rashes. It has natural\u00a0antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits, making it a fundamental beauty necessity.<\/p>\n

Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil, is made from steam distillation of leaves from the melaleuca alternifolia tree. This tree or shrub is part of the myrtle family, which is native to Australia. It has a crisp camphoraceous odor and has been widely used throughout Australia for centuries. Numerous medical studies have shown tea tree oil eliminates many strains of bacteria, viruses and fungi. It is also well-known for its powerful antiseptic properties and ability to treat wounds.<\/p>\n

However, in Colorado we are more familiar with the French Marigold (Tagetes<\/em>) varieties. These marigolds are a common garden flower, mainly used to ward off insects. Calendula is edible and used in a variety of recipes. Most French Marigold varieties are not edible and do not possess the same healing properties for skin care. Calendula is a common herbal remedy used in many skin preparations. The common name “marigold” refers to the Virgin Mary. Most likely, it was given this name in the 14th century. Marigold was an important ingredient in the ancient recipe used in fighting the plague. One\u00a0of the most impressive skin care benefits of calendula is its ability to quickly heal the skin.<\/p>\n
