There is a carrot seed carrier oil and a carrot seed essential oil. Here are the differences:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carrot Seed Carrier Oil<\/strong> ~ Produced through the cold pressing of carrot seeds creating a vegetable type oil<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carrot Seed Essential Oil<\/strong> ~ Produced through steam distillation of carrot seeds creating a concentrated oil<\/p>\n<p>Today I will be referring mainly to carrot seed carrier oil, which is often used in skin care. There are many great reasons to include this beautifully, rich oil in products. To say it is antioxidant rich is putting it lightly.<\/p>\n<h4>BENEFITS OF CARROT SEED OIL<\/h4>\n<p>Carrot seed oil is full of nutrients such as beta carotene and vitamins A and E. Both types of carrot seed oil are rich in carotenoids. Carotenoids protect the skin from sun damage and reverse damage caused by UV rays such as dark spots and sagging skin. In fact, studies have shown that carrot seed carrier oil can act as a natural SPF, although the percentage of SPF is unclear. With its deep, rich golden color it also naturally gives the skin a beautiful glow.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, because it helps to reduce water retention and minimize dark spots, it can be a great under-eye oil for reducing puffiness and dark circles. Not only that but it does help improve skin-tone, making it a great anti-aging ingredient in skin care.<\/p>\n<h4>GIVE IT A TRY<\/h4>\n<p>We have found that carrot seed carrier oil adds to the quality of products and have seen great results from including it in our DIY ingredients. Carrot seed oil is packed with antioxidants and helps repair the skin. Not only that, it is also perfect for sensitive skin.
