There\u2019s something so fun about dropping a colorful, fizzy bath bomb into the tub and watching it bubble and fizz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I quickly learned that not all bath bombs are made with sensitive skin in mind. Before I started making my own bath and body products, I would buy bath bombs for my daughter because she loved them so much. Unfortunately, she would often experience skin irritation after using them. That\u2019s when I started paying closer attention to the ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignright is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bath Bombs DIY - Easy DIY for the whole family, natural ingredients and super fun!\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eVuKr5V3RbI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I decided to try making my own bath bombs so I could choose the ingredients that went into them and leave out some of the unnecessary additives and fragrances that can be irritating for some people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best part is that they\u2019re surprisingly easy to make and can be customized with different scents, colors and skin-friendly ingredients. If your kids love bath bombs too, this homemade version is a fun way to make bath time a little more special, while knowing exactly what\u2019s going into them! I like adding Epsom salts to mine for added benefits of muscle tension and relaxation. Epsom salts can also help ease colds and calm the body. To learn more about Epsom salts, check out this <a href=\"https:\/\/greeneyedgrace.com\/healing-bath-salts-make-your-own\/\">p<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/greeneyedgrace.com\/refreshing-foot-detox\/\">ost<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also love using carrot seed oil. Carrots are very nourishing for the skin and have many added benefits, including antioxidants. And as many of you know, adding oats to the bath can help ease skin irritation. Oats have an amazing way of relieving itchiness and inflammation topically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even with all of these amazing ingredients, citric acid can still cause skin irritation. If you have a child with very sensitive skin, I recommend making a bath soak instead or using some <a href=\"https:\/\/greeneyedgrace.com\/healing-bath-salts-kids\/\">gentle bath salts<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have fun making your own bath bombs. Try adding different essential oils for different scents or mixing different colors together. You can even add little trinkets inside for a cute little surprise at bath time! Then divide mixture into different bowls if you would like different colors. Then add desired food coloring and desired essential oils.\r<\/li>\n\t\t\n\t\t            <li>We made two colors and added 5 drops frankincense essential oil and 15 drops wild orange essential oil to our batch.\r<\/li>\n\t\t\n\t\t            <li>Add a few drops of water to each bowl to create a little stickiness. Stir immediately after putting drops in so it does not fizz much. You do not need much water.\r<\/li>\n\t\t\n\t\t            <li>Finally press mixture into silicone molds and let sit overnight or for several hours. Once hardened, pop them out and enjoy.
