They had such a strong bleach smell that my kids&#8217; eyes would sting whenever they walked into the bathroom. At the time, I convinced myself it was worth it because having a sparkling clean toilet seemed important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, everything changed when I decided to embrace a chemical-free lifestyle. That meant replacing every household cleaner I owned. I quickly discovered that finding truly chemical-free cleaning products at the grocery store was nearly impossible. I was frustrated not only by the harsh ingredients in most products but also by the price. Why are bathroom cleaners so expensive?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thankfully, there are a lot of easy do-it-yourself recipes on the web. I have tried several and finally ended up using my own calculations to get a little more fizz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ADD ONS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can add essential oils for a nice scent or even a few drops of scented castile soap. Personally, I do not bother with essential oils for the toilet bowl cleaner. However, if you would like to add a few drops to this recipe, tea tree and peppermint essential oils are a nice addition. They can help kill bacteria and both have a fresh scent.
