WHY TURMERIC?
Turmeric is amazing – I may be a little obsessed with it. Turmeric is great for the body when consumed but it is also great for the skin. It was traditionally used in India as an essential part of beauty routines. Thankfully we can now use it in our daily diets and beauty routines no matter where we live. This brightly colored spice can help treat acne, eczema, rosacea and give the skin a glow when applied.
THE BENEFITS
The anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties of turmeric are both helpful in treating skin conditions. In acne, using facial masks can calm blemishes. For eczema, turmeric can reduce inflammation and redness. When rosacea sufferers use turmeric masks, it can reduce the tiny pimples and redness associated with flare ups. Regular use of turmeric masks can soften the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Turmeric root is packed with nutrients. It is a favorite ingredient in Indian food. However, for centuries, it has been used in India for wedding ceremonies. Traditional recipes can differ, however, they commonly include a mixture of turmeric, sandlewood powder (or a type of flour) and rose water.
SKIN BENEFITS
Turmeric is known to have properties that leave the skin glowing. Additionally, regular use of turmeric masks can help eliminate fine facial hair. Turmeric can also exfoliate and detoxify the skin. So give it a try!
This recipe is designed to have a more moisturizing effect on the skin since many of us need a little extra moisture. I have tried dozens of turmeric masks over the years and this one is my favorite.

*Be careful not to get any of the mask mixture on countertops or clothing as turmeric can stain easily. It usually washes out, but just use caution. Enjoy your at-home beauty routine for a beautiful glow!
