Why Make Your Own?
It may seem surprising that many eye makeup removers contain harsh chemicals, but they often do. Fortunately, making your own natural remover is super simple. I love wearing eye makeup, so finding a gentle, natural option I could truly feel good about was important to me. Over time, I’ve tested and refined this recipe to create something both effective and nourishing.
As an added bonus, I’ve noticed that using almond oil to remove my eye makeup each evening has helped support healthier-looking lashes. It’s also deeply moisturizing around the delicate eye area, which can help soften the appearance of fine lines. Two wonderful benefits in one simple routine. Give it a try!
Ingredients
- 75% pure almond oil
- 25% pure witch hazel
Instructions
- Mix together pure almond oil and pure witch hazel in a bottle with a seal-able cap.
- I prefer a little bottle with a pump, which I apply to a cotton ball.
- I gently rub the cotton ball back and forth to remove my eye makeup.
- Give the mixture a gentle shake before each use.
You can also add a few drops of eye-friendly essential oils for added benefits, such as lavender or rosemary. If need an even easier DIY recipe, you can use pure jojoba oil as an eye makeup remover. Just apply jojoba oil directly to a slightly damp cotton ball and gently remove eye makeup.
A LITTLE REMINDER
The Lord has made us all beautiful in our own unique ways. True beauty comes from within the heart where the light of Jesus shines through. Jesus loves you. Have a blessed day!
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous.
