HEALING BATH SALTS
Occasionally, when the kids aren’t feeling well, I put some bath salts into their bath. I found that it speeds up recovery, making them feel better and helps them sleep. Many bath products for children can be full of unwanted ingredients, which can have a negative effect on their health. That is not very beneficial when they are already fighting a cold.
I began making bath salts out of Himalayan Sea Salt and Epsom Salt to help them relax in the warm tub. I noticed that they would feel better after the bath and recover quicker.
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Pure Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
- 1/2 Cup Pure Epsom Salt
- 1/2 Tablespoon Sunflower Oil*
- 10 Drops Pure Lavender Essential Oil
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
- Store in a container with a lid.
*Add more or less sunflower oil to desired consistency. I like mine pretty dry, that way the tub does not get too slippery for the kids. You can also use grapeseed oil, almond oil or olive oil, depending on your preference.
HOW TO USE
Add about 1-2 tablespoons of bath salt mixture to the bathtub, depending on preference. I do not recommend for children under the age of 1 year. Essential oils can be too strong for infants.
