NATURAL LAUNDRY DETERGENT – MAKING THE SWITCH
After realizing that the laundry detergent I was using was causing skin irritation and eczema breakouts, I set out to find a gentler alternative. I tried several free-and-clear detergents, hoping they would solve the problem, but none of them worked as well as I had expected.
Determined to find a better solution, I began experimenting with different DIY laundry detergent recipes. Since borax can be irritating to sensitive skin, I chose not to include it, which made creating an effective recipe a bit more challenging. After plenty of trial and error, I finally discovered a combination of ingredients that was both gentle on the skin and effective at getting clothes clean. It was incredibly rewarding to finally find a recipe that offered the balance I had been searching for.
This liquid detergent is not quite like the store-bought detergent because it separates. You will need to shake it before each use. However, it works great and smells amazing. The lavender and eucalyptus keep laundry loads smelling nice and fresh. And no chemicals – so of course I love it ♥
